Why this exists
I've spent ten years working in the healthcare industry. From that seat you see the same scene over and over: a parent is suddenly in the ER, and the adult kids are on the phone trying to remember medication names, guessing at allergies, and hunting for an insurance card from three jobs ago.
None of those families were careless. They were normal. The information existed, but it lived in fifteen places, and the one day it was needed was the worst possible day to go looking.
Before the Call Comes is the fix I kept wishing I could hand them: a calm, guided way to get everything into one place while things are still quiet. Not a course, not advice, not another app to maintain. A short set of questions, and then paper: a sheet on the fridge, a card in the wallet, a binder on the shelf that any family member can open and use.
One thing to be straight about: I'm not a doctor, a lawyer, or a financial advisor, and this product never plays one. It organizes what your family knows and helps you ask professionals better questions. The years in healthcare are why I built it, not a reason to take my word over theirs.

Paper first
The moment it matters, nobody is installing an app. Paper on the fridge works with the power out.

You shouldn't need a glossary to get your family organized. Every question comes with the why.
Privacy by design
The dangerous numbers never touch our servers. They go in by pen, after printing, or not at all.
Preparation is the work
Getting organized isn't the step before the real thing. It is the real thing.
What this is not. Not a course you fall behind on. Not an app your parent has to learn. Not a subscription that nags. And never advice: nobody here tells you what to decide about your parent's health, money, or legal affairs. It is an organizer: paper, plain questions, and a calm order to do them in.
It also never becomes a shelf ornament. The plan comes with a quarterly two-minute check-in, and a one-click refresh after any hospital visit, so the sheet on the fridge stays true.
